Being forgiven changes everything Pt. 2

Sep 6, 2026    Pastor Jacob Gray

What does it really mean to be forgiven -- not just in theory, but in the deep, transforming way that changes how we see ourselves and how we live? In this message drawn from Hebrews chapter 10, we explore the staggering truth that Jesus made one sacrifice, once, for all sin -- past, present, and future. That single act was so complete that Scripture tells us God not only forgives our sins but remembers them no more. We tend to project our own limited, conditional forgiveness onto God, assuming He keeps a running record of our failures the way we keep records of one another's. But the biblical picture is radically different. The finished work of Christ -- symbolized by His sitting down at the right hand of the Father -- declares that nothing more needs to be done. The victory has already been won. The question this message presses us to wrestle with is not whether forgiveness is available, but whether we are actually living in it. Are we dragging the weight of sins God has already forgotten, letting our past define us in ways God refuses to?
